Q&A for visitors

Yes, it is our strong recommendation to pre-purchase tickets. During the summer and other school holidays, many people want to visit Kreativum. We have a limited number of visitors each day and recommend you to pre-purchase an entrance ticket and a ticket to the dome theater Kreanova in our ticket shop, to be guaranteed a seat. Visitors who have not pre-purchased an entrance ticket cannot be guaranteed a place. When it is fully booked, we are unfortunately not able to admit more visitors. This is especially important to think about during rainy days during the summer, when we have extremely high pressure.

All visitors must have a valid ticket. Children under 4 years old are also considered visitors, so remember to pre-book a free entrance ticket for them. Visitors without pre-purchased entrance tickets cannot be guaranteed entry. We therefore recommend that all visitors pre-purchase an entrance ticket.

Follow Kreativum on Facebook and Instagram to get information if we have fully booked the current day!

If you have problems adding multiple tickets to the ticket shop, try adding the tickets one by one to the shopping cart.

Do this to add more ticket types to the ticket shop:

  1. Select the ticket (e.g. “Entrance Ticket Child (0-3 years old)”) and add to cart.
  2. Select “Continue shopping”.
  3. Choose another ticket (e.g. “Entrance ticket – 2 visitors”) and add to cart.
  4. Continue to add a new ticket alternatively “Go To Checkout”.
  5. Complete your order by select Payment Method.

No. Kreativum is a cashless science centre – we do not accept cash payments.

To fully explore and experience everything at Kreativum, you should plan for approximately 2-3 hours. You are free to come and go as you please during opening hours. Please check our current opening hours on our website.

We welcome visitors of all ages. To visit us independently without an adult (18 years or older), visitors must be at least 12 years old. Children visiting Kreanova should be a minimum of 4 years old.

Our café offers homemade pastries, organic pancakes with toppings, sandwiches, rolls, salads, ice-cream and beverages. The café closes 30 minutes before Kreativum’s closing time. If you have allergies or special dietary requirements, please contact us before your visit so that we can better accommodate your needs. To contact the café, call 0454-56 39 57.

You are welcome to bring your own food. You may eat your own packed meals in our lunchroom on the first floor, or outside in Kreapark during the summer. The seating in the café near the waterland on the second floor is reserved for café guests.

Kreapark is our outdoor park – an oasis at the back of Kreativum. It is situated on a lush island and peninsula along the River Mie and is open from May through to the end of September. The park features interactive water stations, so consider bringing extra clothes for the kids. Adults are responsible for their children in the park, and smoking is not allowed.

We offer ample free parking at Kreativum. Learn more about our parking options under Getting Here

Pets are not allowed inside Kreativum, except for guide and assistance dogs.

You are welcome to bring strollers inside Kreativum. Please note that it can be challenging to find space for strollers in the café area. There is an elevator between the floors. Unfortunately, there is no elevator to the Kreapark, so please contact one of our staff members who will guide you to the entrance gate at the rear of Kreativum.

Toilets and accessible toilet facilities are located on the entrance level behind the reception desk and on the second floor. Changing tables are available in both accessible toilet facilities.

Small lockers are available near the cloakroom on the ground floor. You do not need coins to use our lockers.

We recommend establishing a designated meeting point in case you become separated. The area near the hot-air balloon at the entrance is usually a good meeting place. If you need help in finding lost parents or children, please contact reception and we will assist you.

If you have misplaced or left behind any belongings during your visit, we hold onto these items for a duration of three months. Valuables are promptly handed over to the local police in Karlshamn. We can also arrange to send your belongings back to you, with the associated costs covered by you. For further assistance, kindly contact our reception on 0454-56 39 50.

All our staff members at Kreativum receive annual training in CPR and first aid. There is an automated external defibrillator (AED) available outside the main entrance, which can also be used by the public. A first aid kit is located at the reception for your convenience.
